Mr. Tree is one of our favorite places to go in Taipei. We’ve been to both locations and both are great.
As is standard in Taiwan, their concern for hygiene is top-notch. They will check the forehead temperature of each person (adult and kids) before they allow entry. They will also give you hand sanitizer. When kids enter the play area, they will place their shoes in a cubby.
Parents can sit and enjoy food/drinks. There is a minimum spending per person (kids included) in order to enjoy their space. (I was told by friends that because Mr. Tree is considered old in Taipei, that they are cheaper than other places that cater to children). It’s new for us, but we don’t mind the affordable price range.
Children are supervised by the workers and free to play around in both the indoor/outdoor space. Occasionally they will have activities and the kids can participate for an extra fee (Aka. Making a gingerbread house).
If you have young kids, it’s a good place to stop and get some rest while your kids run around to play.
