Du Hsiao Yueh Dan Zai Noodles 度小月擔仔麵 - Taipei

Today a good friend took us to lunch at 度小月擔仔麵. The noodles dishes here have a long history, since 1895.

We ordered their famous danzai noodles, the fried shrimp, oyster dishes and a few more. Very authentic and one of the most enjoyable meals we’ve had so far.

By the entrance you can see the staff making the noodles. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want really good, old-style authentic Taiwanese cuisine in a very tasteful, clean and artistic setting.

The location of this restaurant is in a very touristy area with lots of local shops, cafes, and dessert places nearby. It’s a good location to not only eat here, but to walk it off with some browsing and shopping.

(The original location is in Tainan, next to the Chikan Tower. At that location, it looks like a hole-in-the-wall with some tables and benches. That would probably be the first and original, how Du Hsiao
