Charlotte Truffles

Last month I went to one of my favorite local activities.. makers market by SJMade. And boy was I delighted to find some of my favorite old and new vendors there. Most of all, I was so delighted to find a new confectionery that was up to my picky palate! My former favorite, Teuscher, sadly closed their shop in Stanford Shopping Center. Since then, if I wanted a good bonbon, I would go all the way to Los Gatos (which isn’t a big deal). But even then, after some time… the same old flavors get dull. So… Charlotte Truffles comes to the rescue with Asian inspired flavors that you simply cannot find at other confectioneries.

We got Rose Water Saffron, Raspberry Yuzu and Sea Salt Caramel flavor. They are very delicate and of high quality, the flavors really come out with a layered texture. Best of all, it’s less sweet than Teuscher and any other chocolatier I fancied in the past. I’m very impressed, because it’s often the cringy-ness of the confection being too sweet that turns me off, or makes it such that I only enjoy one piece for a long while.

Of course, that means I am actually going to finish 3 bonbons by the time I finish typing this, which is definitely not friendly on the wallet. Lol.
