XiMenDing 西門町 & Ximen Red House 西門紅樓

XiMenDing is a famous shopping district of Taipei. Their wares typically center around hip fashion and affordable prices (where Xinyi is more luxury and $$$).

You will find a lot of Taiwan teens/tweens here as well as tourists from all over the world. It’s very happening and some have likened it to Harajuku (youth culture and fashion).

XiMenDing is also the LGBTQIA hub and has many displays celebrating love.

The Ximen Red House is where XiMenDing started and is an iconic site to visit when in the area. Within the XiMen Red House is a hall with the history of the XiMen area, as well as an art/culture marketplace inside.

Surrounding the XiMen Red House are trendy restaurants with outdoor seating and decorative lighting.
